4.2 Automatic detection of mounting position

Maybe your press brake controller has already implemented the automatic detection of the sensor mounting position X, R and Angle. Please ask your vendor.
If not, you can use the same VC Update-Tool also for detecting the parameters X, R and Angle:
Just select “Sensor Mounting Position”. In the output window you will see the parameters X, R and Angle. Repeat this step for the front and back sensor IP. Then transfer the values to your press brake controller.
Please take care, that the mounting angle of the sensor has to be in the range of 20 – 50 degrees to the vertical line.
Before you start the detection, please mount in front of the laser beam the VC Press Break Mounting Detection Tool from Vision Components (VK000563 / VC PB-MDT (mounting detection tool).
In addition you will get the result of the “Mounting Detection Tool”-Angle (135,0 +/- 0.2 degrees) and you can check, if your sensor works correctly.
